What began in 1957 as a dream to bring business success and societal progress together grew into an industrial legacy spanning borders, industries, and generations. Through wars, nationalizations, economic crises, and profound political changes, his conviction never wavered. Where others saw obstacles, he saw possibilities. Where others saw uncertainty, he found the courage to build, rebuild, and move forward.

Yet his greatest achievement cannot be measured solely by the businesses he built or the milestones he reached. It lies in the values he instilled, the people he empowered, and the belief he championed that entrepreneurship carries a responsibility beyond profit. He understood that lasting success is built on trust, perseverance, integrity, and relationships that stand the test of time. These principles became the foundation of BCI and continue to guide its ambitions today.

As we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life of extraordinary purpose and achievement, and a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come. Dr. Ihsan Baalbaki did not simply leave behind a successful enterprise. He left behind a vision, a philosophy, and a belief in the power of industry to change lives. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in everything we continue to build.

رائدٌ برؤية استثنائية وإرثٌ يتجاوز الأجيال

بعض الرجال يبنون المؤسسات، وآخرون يصنعون نهضةً، ويتركون بصماتهم في حياة الناس والمجتمعات، ويمتدّ أثرهم إلى ما بعد رحيلهم. وكان الدكتور إحسان البعلبكي من هؤلاء الرجال الاستثنائيين. رائد أعمال وصناعة، وصاحب رؤية بعيدة المدى وعزيمة لا تلين، أمضى أكثر من سبعة عقود في تحويل طموحاته إلى واقع، وفي بناء مسيرة حافلة بالإنجازات التي تجاوز أثرها حدود البلدان والأجيال.

بدأت القصة عام 1957 بحلمٍ جمع بين النجاح في عالم الأعمال والإسهام في تنمية المجتمع، ليتحوّل مع السنوات إلى إرث صناعي راسخ امتدّ عبر البلدان والقطاعات والأجيال. وعلى الرغم مما شهدته مسيرته من حروب وتأميمات وأزمات اقتصادية وتحوّلات سياسية كبرى، لم تهتزّ قناعته يوماً، ولم تفتر عزيمته. فحيث رأى الآخرون العقبات، رأى هو الفرص والإمكانات. وحيث ساد القلق من المجهول، امتلك الشجاعة ليبني، ويعيد البناء، ويمضي قدماً، مؤمناً بأن الإرادة قادرة على تجاوز أصعب التحديات.

لكن عظمة ما أنجزه لا تُختصر في عدد المؤسسات التي أسّسها، ولا في النجاحات التي حقّقها، بل تتجلّى قبل كل شيء في القيم التي غرسها، والطاقات التي أطلقها، والفرص التي أتاحها للآخرين، وفي إيمانه الراسخ بأن ريادة الأعمال مسؤولية تتجاوز تحقيق الأرباح إلى خدمة الإنسان والمجتمع. فقد آمن بأن النجاح الحقيقي يقوم على الثقة والمثابرة والنزاهة، وعلى علاقات إنسانية ومهنية راسخة تصمد أمام اختبار الزمن. ومن هذه المبادئ انطلقت مسيرة BCI، ولا تزال تشكّل جوهر هويتها والبوصلة التي توجّه طموحاتها اليوم.

واليوم، إذ نودّع الدكتور إحسان البعلبكي ببالغ الحزن والأسى، نستذكر بفخر وامتنان مسيرة استثنائية لرجل عاش مؤمناً برسالته، وترك إرثاً سيبقى مصدر إلهام للأجيال القادمة. فلم يورّثنا مؤسسات ناجحة فحسب، بل ترك لنا رؤية نؤمن بها، ونهجاً نقتدي به، وإيماناً عميقاً بقدرة الصناعة على تغيير حياة الناس وصناعة مستقبل أفضل. سيترك رحيله فراغاً كبيراً في قلوبنا، لكن روحه ستبقى حاضرة في كل ما نواصل بناءه، وفي كل خطوة نمضي بها على الدرب الذي رسمه لنا.
